Week 21 – Late

It’s fitting that this week’s entry is late as it has been a week of poor planning and training.

This was my first week back in the UK after my amazing trip through Asia and I was faced with a bit of a predicament. On the one hand, I felt like my training was going ok and I didn’t want to lose momentum. On the other, my cough still hadn’t gone away so the gym wasn’t an option (it’s just impolite isn’t it) and I don’t think I’m quite mentally strong enough yet to run in the cold rainy reality of an English Winter.

As a result, I found myself continuing my short bursts of indoor training with some body weight exercises but utterly failed to go for a single run – and to cap it all off; I missed my deadline for posting.

Next week is already looking up however – it’s day 1 and I’ve already got my first 5k run and gym session out the way so fingers crossed I’ll be posting about my successes in just under 6 days….
